Former Air Force pilot Brandon Bryant, who was part of the U.S. Predator drone program for more than four years, talks about remote warfare and how he came to a stopping point in 2011.Former Air Force pilot Brandon Bryant worked in the U.S. Predator program for four and a half years. During that time, he was told, he aided in killing 1,626 people in Afghanistan and other countries through the use of drones.
In the BBC’s video interview with Bryant below, he recalls his first mission, in which he thinks he may have killed a child. Bryant resigned in 2011 when he was given orders to assassinate a U.S. citizen, the Yemeni cleric Anwar al-Awlaki.
